Every desk, chair, conference top and locker is manufactured at our 60,000 sq.ft facility in Ecotech III, Greater Noida. No outsourced sub-assemblies, no white-labelled imports, no marketplace re-sellers in the chain.
Hettich, Samhongsa, AkzoNobel inside
Hettich runners and hinges on storage and pedestals, Samhongsa Class-4 gas lifts on the chairs, and Paramount or AkzoNobel powder coat on the steel. Locks come from Hafele or Ebco, and laminate surfaces from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch.
2-year cover plus 10-year workmanship
Desks, conference tables, workstations, office storage and soft seating carry a 2-year manufacturing-defect cover. The office chair carries 1 year, replacement only. The on-site install carries a 10-year workmanship cover in writing.
NCR payroll crew, BIFMA X5.1 build
Inside Delhi NCR our own payroll crew runs the survey, delivery and install at no cost. Outside NCR a Zumax-supervised partner crew installs. Chair mechanisms are tested to ANSI/BIFMA X5.1 and steel frames pass a 100-hour salt-spray test.

The workshop runs to ISO 9001 quality and ISO 14001 environmental management standards, with GreenGuard and FSC documents available on relevant lines. GeM, BIS and BIFMA paperwork is shared with bulk procurement teams on request.

What goes into a Zumax workspace fit-out
- BIFMA X5.1 chair mechanism
- Task and executive chair mechanisms are tested to ANSI/BIFMA X5.1 cycle counts. Samhongsa Class-4 gas lifts are standard on the ergonomic and executive ranges, with five-star bases on the same SKU family across the floor.
- Hettich runners and hinges
- Pedestals, credenzas, lockers and filing cabinets ship with Hettich runners and hinges as standard. Salice, Grass or Blum hardware is specified on selected executive and conferencing lines. Locks and bolt sets come from Hafele or Ebco.
- Powder coat to 100-hour salt-spray
- Steel frames on workstations, storage and chair bases are powder-coated with Paramount or AkzoNobel paint and tested to a 100-hour salt-spray standard. Same paint family runs across every steel element on the floor so finishes match across zones.
- BWP plywood carcass + laminate tops
- Storage and desk carcasses use BWP plywood from Greenply or Century. Work surfaces are laminated in Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch finishes, with executive lines stepping up to walnut veneer sourced from Bhutan Tuff.
- Conference and reception tops
- Conferencing and reception desks are offered in laminate, walnut veneer or quartz/stone. Stone tops are sourced through Hafele's partner stone yard. Saint-Gobain or AIS tempered glass is used on glass-front conference and reception builds.
- Soft seating fabric and foam
- Soft seating frames use BWP-ply boxes with cold-cure foam. Upholstery is rated by Martindale rub count on the spec sheet and the fabric set lists actual numbers, not inflated ones. Re-upholstery is available from year 5 onwards.

How is office furniture quoted for a 50-seater workspace?
Pricing is project-specific and shared after the site survey, since it depends on size, finish and hardware. Send the dimensions and we will revert with a written quote in 24-48 hours. Site survey is free on enquiries over 10 workstations, and the 2D/3D layout is delivered within 5 working days. The quote is locked against the signed drawing rather than a per-square-foot estimate.
Are Zumax office chairs BIFMA-tested?
Yes. The chair mechanisms are tested to ANSI/BIFMA X5.1. Samhongsa Class-4 gas lifts are standard. The chair carries a 1-year cover on manufacturing defects, replacement only, with no field repair and no warranty on castors.
Can Zumax handle the entire office fit-out under one quote?
Yes. Desks, chairs, conferencing, reception, soft seating and storage ship under one project: one PO, one project manager, one delivery and install schedule. Most of our B2B enquiries cover four or more of those subcategories in the same brief, and one in-house CAD studio with three designers works the layout.
Do you provide free site survey and 3D layout?
Yes. For any enquiry over 10 workstations we send a project lead to your site at no cost. You get an AutoCAD floor plan and a 3D render within 5 working days, and the quote is locked against that drawing. There is no design fee. Inside Delhi NCR the survey and install are handled by our own payroll crew. Outside NCR, a Zumax-supervised partner crew handles the visit and logistics is billed as actuals.

How is GST handled on the invoice and is it eligible for input tax credit?
Zumax invoices are full GST tax invoices (HSN 9403 for furniture) and are eligible for input tax credit for any registered Indian business. We can share our GSTIN and TDS clarifications with your finance team before PO. Quote structure and tax treatment are confirmed in writing alongside the project drawing.
What warranty applies to Zumax workspace furniture?
Desks, conference tables, workstations, office storage and soft seating carry 2 years of cover on manufacturing defects. The office chair carries 1 year of cover, replacement only, with no warranty on castors and no field repair. The on-site install carries a 10-year workmanship cover. Re-upholstery on soft seating is available from year 5 onwards.
Do you offer an AMC or post-handover service for office furniture?
Yes. AMC is optional, with quarterly visits and a 48-hour SLA on call-outs. The AMC covers preventive servicing of chair mechanisms, drawer runners, locks and cable trays. Looking after your Zumax workspace
Wipe laminate, veneer and stone tops with a soft damp cloth and a mild pH-neutral cleaner. Skip abrasive scrubs, ammonia and bleach-based sprays.
Lubricate drawer runners and lock cylinders every 6 months with a light silicone spray. Keep Hettich runners free of paper dust at the back of pedestals.
Vacuum soft seating fabric weekly and spot-clean spills with a damp cloth. Heavier upholstery cleaning should use upholstery foam only, never wet shampoo.
Wipe chair mesh and arm pads with a damp microfibre. Check the Samhongsa gas lift travel once a year and raise an AMC ticket if it loses height.
On glass conferencing tops, use a non-ammonia glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Slide felt pads under decor items so the toughened Saint-Gobain or AIS top does not scratch at point loads.
