Every build uses a 25mm pre-laminated top with a 2mm sealed edge band, a 1.2mm powder-coated CRCA frame finished in Paramount or AkzoNobel paint, Hettich hardware on cabinet doors with a lever lock and bolt set sourced from Hafele or Ebco, and pre-routed cable management at every seat. We have manufactured at our 60,000 sq.ft Greater Noida workshop since 2008, ship pan-India, and carry a 2-year manufacturing-defect warranty on institutional furniture with made-to-order sizing for any floor plate.

Hinges are Hettich. Locks and bolt sets are Hafele or Ebco. Powder coat is Paramount or AkzoNobel. Every hardware brand sits on the GA drawing and the PO, not buried in a generic spec line.
2-year defect warranty, 10-year workmanship
Institutional furniture carries a flat 2-year warranty on manufacturing defects across the line, plus a 10-year workmanship cover on the install itself. Replacement parts are stocked at Greater Noida with a 7-working-day ship window.
NCR own crew, 100-hour salt-spray frames
Inside Delhi NCR our own in-house crew handles delivery and install at no extra cost. Frames are 1.2mm CRCA powder-coated and 100-hour salt-spray tested, sized to NIB student dimensions for school year groups.

Our surveyor arrives with a laser distance meter, tablet and material samples to capture room dimensions, column positions, plug-point layout and network drop locations. Site survey is free across Delhi NCR and on B2B enquiries above ten workstations.

The in-house CAD studio (three designers on payroll) returns a GA drawing with seat count, aisle widths, CPU cabinet positions and cable routing. You see exactly how the linear, round or back-to-back layout sits on your floor plate before any invoice.

Once the GA is signed off, the Business Coordinator Team sends a written, itemised quote within 24 to 48 hours. Tops, edge band, CPU cabinet finish and hardware line are all line-itemed so nothing hides in a lump sum.

Standard lead time is 15 days from order confirmation, manufactured at our 60,000 sq.ft workshop in Greater Noida. No outsourced sub-assemblies, no white-labelled imports. Tier-2 cities add 2 to 3 days for transit.

In-house install with 10-year workmanship cover
Within Delhi NCR our own crew unloads, assembles and installs the workstations with free delivery and install. Outside NCR is handled by Zumax-supervised partner crews, billed as actuals. Workmanship on the install carries a 10-year cover.
What goes into a Zumax computer lab table
- 25mm pre-laminated top (EN 438 / IS 2046)
- Work surface is a 25mm pre-laminated particle board, conforming to EN 438 / IS 2046, sealed with a 2mm PVC edge band against daily wipe-downs. Anti-microbial HPL upgrades are sourced from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch when the brief calls for it.
- 1.2mm CRCA frame, 100-hour salt-spray powder coat
- Frames are 1.2mm cold-rolled CRCA steel, finished with Paramount or AkzoNobel powder coat tested to 100 hours of salt spray. Anti-skid PP feet with adjustable levellers handle uneven institutional floors.
- Hettich hinges on cabinet doors
- Every CPU cabinet door swings on Hettich hinges, the same primary line we use on kitchens and wardrobes. The cabinet shells are reinforced for institutional cycle counts rather than office-rated hinges.
- Lever lock and bolt set from Hafele or Ebco
- CPU bays carry a lever lock and bolt set sourced from Hafele or Ebco. Keys are barcoded per PO so a 30-seat lab does not end up with one master key floating in a staff room.
- Pre-routed cable management
- Each seat has a flush grommet on the top, a powder-coated centre cable tray under the frame, and a rear cut-out on the CPU cabinet with a brush strip for IEC and network cables. No surface-mounted PVC trunking after delivery.
- Chemical-resistant top option for technology labs
- For senior school technology labs that share with electronics or soldering work, the top can be upgraded to a chemical-resistant surface on the same frame and cable system, referencing IS 4837 for lab bench construction.

What is the standard height of a computer lab table for schools in India?
Our standard computer lab table is 720mm (28 inches) at seat height, which suits students from Class 6 upwards. For primary school computer labs (Class 1 to 5), we drop to 650mm. Lecture-style coding labs at college level get 740mm with 660mm knee clearance. Custom heights are quoted on the same lead time.
How is Zumax computer lab furniture quoted per seat in India?
Pricing is project-specific and shared after we see the lab plan, since it depends on seat count, top finish, CPU cabinet spec and hardware line. Send us the GA drawing or floor dimensions and our Business Coordinator Team will revert with a written, itemised quote within 24 to 48 hours. Bulk PO rates are released against the approved GA drawing.
Can you supply furniture for a full 30-seat computer lab including chairs?
Yes. A standard 30-seat lab PO from us bundles the workstations, lockable CPU cabinets, an instructor desk, a server/printer credenza, 30 ergonomic mid-back student chairs with lumbar support, and a whiteboard cabinet. One PO, one project manager, 15 days from order confirmation, plus 2 to 3 days for Tier-2 cities.
Do the CPU cabinets fit standard Indian PC towers and SFF PCs?
The standard lockable CPU cabinet bay is 230mm wide x 470mm tall x 480mm deep, which fits HCL, HP, Dell, Lenovo and Acer mid-towers used in most Indian school labs. For small form factor and mini-PC labs we offer a 180mm wide SFF bay. For full tower workstations in college engineering labs there is a 280mm bay.
Is the cable management built-in or surface-mounted?
Pre-routed and built-in. The top has a flush grommet at each seat, the frame carries a powder-coated centre cable tray, and the CPU cabinet has a rear cut-out with a brush strip for IEC and network cables. No ugly PVC trunking screwed onto the surface after delivery.

Can you customise the table top colour and edge band to match our institution branding?
Yes. Tops are available in beech, grey, white, light oak and walnut laminates, with anti-microbial HPL sourced from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch. Edge bands come in colour-matched 2mm PVC. School-colour edge bands (Royal Blue, Maroon, Bottle Green) are available on minimum order quantities from 20 seats.
Looking after your Zumax computer lab furniture
Wipe tops daily with a soft cloth and diluted neutral cleaner. Skip abrasive scrubs, thinners and bleach-based sprays — they dull the laminate and lift the edge band over time.
Lubricate the CPU cabinet lock and hinges with a light dry lubricant every six months. Avoid spraying WD-40 directly onto the laminate as it can stain the edge band.
Vacuum out the CPU cabinet cross-ventilation cut-outs once a term. Dust build-up around the brush strip is the most common reason a CPU cabinet door starts catching.
Tighten the adjustable levellers at the start of each academic year. Indian institutional floors settle and shift through the monsoon, and a five-minute round of the lab keeps wobble out of every seat.
Report any frame scratch through to bare CRCA the same week. We ship colour-matched touch-up paint from Greater Noida within 7 working days so the powder coat stays sealed.
