Zumax has been building school furniture since 2008 and makes four teacher desks to order in our 60,000 sq.ft Greater Noida workshop: a wood and metal A-frame, a classic pre-laminated wood desk, an off-white compact desk, and an executive metal-frame version for principal cabins and HOD offices. Every desk in this collection uses a 25 mm MS powder-coated frame finished with Paramount or AkzoNobel paint, an 18 mm anti-microbial laminate top from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch at NIB-sized 750 mm working height, a Hettich soft-close runner on the centre drawer, and a lever lock sourced from Hafele or Ebco. Delivery and install are free within Delhi NCR. Outside NCR, partner crews handle install under Zumax supervision and logistics are billed as actuals.

Every teacher desk and matched mobile pedestal carries a flat 2-year cover on manufacturing defects, with install backed by a 10-year workmanship cover. Replacement parts are stocked at Greater Noida and ship in 7 working days.
NCR own crew, 100-hr salt-spray frame
Install in Delhi NCR is handled by the Zumax in-house crew on payroll, free of charge. The 25 mm MS frame is powder-coated and 100-hour salt-spray tested so the legs hold up through monsoons in any staff room.

- Square mild-steel section with a 1.2 mm wall, finished in Paramount or AkzoNobel powder coat and 100-hour salt-spray tested. Anti-skid feet keep the desk planted on tiled classroom floors.
- 18 mm anti-microbial laminate top
- 18 mm pre-laminated MDF wrapped in anti-microbial HPL sourced from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch to EN 438 and IS 2046. A 2 mm PVC edge band runs the full perimeter so the laminate does not lift at the corners.
- Hettich centre-drawer runner
- Soft-close steel runner from Hettich on the centre drawer, rated for the 30-plus open-close cycles a teacher table sees each school day. The runner ships matched on the optional mobile pedestal.
- Hafele / Ebco lever lock
- Lever lock and bolt set on the centre drawer sourced from Hafele or Ebco, with two keys per desk. The matched lock on the mobile pedestal top drawer is from the same supplier set.
- Mobile pedestal hardware
- Three-drawer mobile pedestal with twin-wheel castors rated for daily classroom movement, BWP plywood carcass from Greenply or Century and Hettich runners through the stack. Pedestals are 400 x 500 x 600 mm.
- NIB-sized working height
- Finished working height held at 750 mm to match the NIB sizing standard for adult faculty use. Custom heights run to plus or minus 25 mm without changing the frame gauge or top thickness.

What is the standard size of a teacher table in India?
Classroom teacher tables in India run between 1200 x 600 mm and 1500 x 750 mm at a 750 mm finished working height. Zumax builds the 1200 x 600 mm size as the classroom default and 1500 x 750 mm for the executive principal or HOD desk. Custom sizes to plus or minus 25 mm are accepted. The 750 mm height is NIB-sized for adult faculty use.
How are Zumax teacher tables quoted?

Can the teacher table be paired with a mobile pedestal?
Yes. The A-Frame Leg Desk ships with a co-ordinated three-drawer mobile pedestal on twin-wheel castors as standard. The Standard, Executive and Single-Drawer desks accept the same pedestal as an add-on in matched finish. Pedestals are 400 x 500 x 600 mm and carry a lockable top drawer.

Looking after your Zumax teacher table
Wipe the laminate top down daily with a damp cotton cloth and a mild soap solution. The anti-microbial HPL handles ink, chai and chalk dust, but skip abrasive scrubbers and scouring powder — they dull the finish.
Once a term, run a drop of light machine oil into the lever lock and along the Hettich runner. A 30-second service keeps the centre drawer gliding through 30-plus open-close cycles a day.
Lift the desk to reposition rather than dragging — the 25 mm MS frame is strong but dragged feet scuff classroom tiles and can loosen the anti-skid pads over time.
Check the pedestal twin-wheel castors at the start of each session and pick out any thread or paper jammed in the wheel housing. Tighten the castor stem if it has loosened from constant movement.
Touch up frame chips with a colour-matched paint pen from the install kit. Bare CRCA edges left in a humid staff room will start to rust within a season.
