Every Zumax kitchen starts with a free on-site measurement across Delhi NCR, followed by a 2D/3D layout within 5 working days that you sign off before any board is cut. We build six layouts: L-shape, U-shape, island, peninsula, single-wall and double-gallery. Carcass is BWP plywood from Greenply or Century, finished with laminate from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch. Hettich soft-close hinges and tandem drawer runners are standard, with Salice, Grass or Blum on select lines. Locks come from Hafele or Ebco. Worktops are quartz or stone sourced through Hafele's partner stone yard. From order confirmation, build and install takes 15 days subject to site readiness on electrical and plumbing. Zumax has been doing this since 2008, and the install crew is on our payroll in NCR.

The surveyor visits with a laser distance meter, tablet and material samples. We capture wall lengths, beam drops, window heights, plumbing rough-ins, gas-line position and the existing electrical loop. Outside NCR, partner surveyors run the same protocol.

Free 2D and 3D layout in 5 working days
Our in-house CAD studio (three designers on staff) returns a signed-off 2D plan and a 3D walkthrough. You see the cabinet count, shutter finish, countertop material and handle profile before any board is cut.

In-house Zumax crew installs across NCR; outside NCR, a Zumax-supervised partner crew handles fit-out with site lead from our end on larger jobs. The 15-day timeline is subject to site readiness on electrical and plumbing, and the 10-year workmanship cover starts on handover.
What goes into a Zumax modular kitchen
- BWP plywood carcass
- Cabinet bodies are built on BWP (boiling-water proof) plywood from Greenply or Century, edge-banded and sealed at the cut line. The ply spec is suited to the moisture and steam load of an Indian kitchen, not commercial-grade ply repurposed for cabinetry.
- Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch laminate
- Shutters and exposed faces are finished with laminate from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch, all conforming to EN 438 / IS 2046. Anti-microbial laminate is offered on select lines for splashback and hob-side runs.
- Hettich soft-close hinges and runners
- Hettich is the standard hinge, telescopic drawer slide and tandem box across the line. Salice, Grass or Blum appear on select lines for lift-up overheads and corner pull-outs. Every hardware brand is named on the quote.
- Hafele or Ebco locks
- Drawer and shutter locks are sourced from Hafele or Ebco, the same partner set used on our wardrobes. No unbranded fittings even on entry-level builds.
- Quartz or stone worktops via Hafele's partner stone yard
- Countertops are quartz or natural stone sourced through Hafele's partner stone yard, finished with mitred edges. Slab selection and seam placement are planned on the 2D/3D layout so joints fall outside the wet zone.
- Saint-Gobain or AIS tempered glass
- Where the design uses glass shutters or splashbacks, the panel is Saint-Gobain or AIS tempered glass. Edges are polished and the panel is gasket-set into the carcass, not silicon-tacked at site.

How are Zumax modular kitchens quoted?
Pricing is project-specific and shared after the site survey, since it depends on layout, carcass size, shutter finish, countertop material and hardware selection. Send the dimensions and the Business Coordinator Team will revert with a written, itemised quote within 24 to 48 hours, with no per-foot escalations during the build.
How long does a modular kitchen take from order to install?
15 days from order confirmation, subject to site readiness on electrical and plumbing. The 2D/3D layout is delivered within 5 working days of the survey. Outside NCR adds 2 to 3 days for transit on Tier-2 cities.
Which modular kitchen layout works best for a small flat?
For most 1BHK and small 2BHK flats, a single-wall or L-shape layout works hardest. They use one or two walls, leave the floor space free, and still allow a proper work triangle. If the kitchen opens onto the living room, a peninsula gives you a breakfast bar without losing storage.
What plywood and hardware do you use?
BWP plywood carcass from Greenply or Century, with laminate from Marino, Greenlam or Royal Touch. Hardware is Hettich as standard: hinges, telescopic drawer slides, tandem boxes, lift-up overheads and corner pull-outs. Salice, Grass or Blum appear on select lines. Locks come from Hafele or Ebco. We don't use commercial ply or unbranded fittings.
Do you deliver modular kitchens outside Delhi NCR?
Free delivery and free on-site assembly are limited to Delhi NCR. Outside NCR, the kitchen is shipped via third-party logistics billed as actuals, and install is handled by Zumax-supervised partner crews. Fabrication happens at our 60,000 sq.ft Greater Noida workshop, and lead time outside NCR adds 2 to 3 days for Tier-2 transit.
What is covered under the modular kitchen warranty?
10 years on the modular kitchen, covering the carcass, hardware and install workmanship. The number is flat, not split across components, and it's written into the invoice.
How is Zumax different from off-the-shelf catalogue brands?
We run our own 60,000 sq.ft workshop and our own install crew in NCR, so there is one accountable team from survey to handover. We name the plywood, laminate and hardware brand on every quote. And we don't sell per linear foot. Every quote is itemised by cabinet, hardware and worktop, so you can audit it line by line. No outsourced sub-assemblies, no white-labelled imports.
Can I customise the layout, colour and handles?
Yes. Cabinet dimensions, shutter colour, handle profile, countertop, splashback and appliance cutouts are all configurable at the 2D/3D layout stage. The Experience Center has 200+ swatches in the material library. Anything outside the standard set is sourced to order.
Do you handle the chimney, hob, sink and appliance fitting too?
Yes. We coordinate plumbing, electrical, chimney duct and gas-line cutouts with your appliance brand. If you don't have appliances yet, we'll spec a chimney, hob and sink that match the carcass dimensions, so nothing has to be retro-cut later.
Is a modular kitchen worth it over a site-built carpenter kitchen?
For most urban Indian homes, yes. Factory-built cabinets are dimensionally accurate, the hardware is warranted for 10 years, and the laminate finish lasts longer in a humid kitchen. Site-built carpentry is harder to repair or extend, and the hardware is rarely a branded SKU.
Looking after your Zumax modular kitchen
Wipe shutters and worktops with a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent. Skip abrasive scrubs, scouring pads and bleach-based cleaners on laminate and quartz faces.
Lubricate Hettich hinges and tandem drawer runners with a light machine oil once every 12 months. Don't grease the soft-close damper itself.
Wipe down the splashback after frying or pressure-cooker work so oil and steam don't sit on the laminate or glass overnight.
Reseal natural stone worktop edges once a year if the worktop is granite or marble; quartz tops don't need sealing.
Log any shutter sag, drawer rub or seam separation with the Business Coordinator Team. Replacement parts ship from Greater Noida in 7 working days, and AMC visits run on a 48-hour SLA.
