Hettich hinges, a lever lock and bolt set from Hafele or Ebco, and a Paramount or AkzoNobel powder coat. The supplier names are on the quote because the hardware decides the cycle life.

NCR own crew, 100-hour salt-spray
Delivery and on-site assembly in Delhi NCR are handled by our in-house crew on payroll. The finish is 100-hour salt-spray tested and the frame passes a 20,000-cycle in-house test.

What goes into a Zumax double door almirah
- 18-gauge CRCA cold-rolled steel body
- The shell, doors and shelves are pressed from 18-gauge CRCA cold-rolled steel. The gauge is what gives the unit its rigidity under load and lets it survive three household moves without the door rebate going out of square.
- Powder coat — Paramount or AkzoNobel
- An electrostatic powder coat is applied over a phosphate primer and oven-cured. We use Paramount or AkzoNobel powders and the finish is 100-hour salt-spray tested, so it holds up in coastal humidity as well as dry-belt households.
- Triple-lock — Hafele or Ebco
- A central lever lock plus two reinforced bolts at the top and bottom of the left-hand door, sourced from Hafele or Ebco. The lever lock is the same hardware family used on commercial storage; the bolts are mortised, not surface-screwed.
- Hettich hinges
- Hettich hinges on every door, set at a load-tested spacing for the leaf height. They are sized for the cycle count, which is why we run the 20,000-cycle test in-house before sign-off.
- Saint-Gobain or AIS mirror panel
- If you opt for the mirror-front interior, the panel is Saint-Gobain or AIS sheet glass, fixed to a steel backing plate so the mirror does not flex against the door skin.
- 20,000 open-close cycle test
- Every frame design is tested for 20,000 open-close cycles in-house at the Greater Noida workshop. The test is on the hinge line, the lock engagement and the door rebate together, not the hardware in isolation.

Is a double door almirah lockable?
Every Zumax double door almirah ships with a triple-lock as standard. That is one central lever lock plus two reinforced bolts at the top and bottom of the left-hand door. The lever lock and bolt set is sourced from Hafele or Ebco.
What is the difference between a double door and a triple door almirah?
A double door fits one hanging column plus shelves and a locker, which works for a single user or a child's room. A triple door adds a second hanging column and a second locker, which most couples end up needing within two years. Same hardware, same warranty either way. This is a solid alternative to a Godrej Slimline 3-door almirah.

Will the powder-coat finish chip or rust?
The finish is an electrostatic powder coat from Paramount or AkzoNobel applied over a phosphate primer on 18-gauge CRCA cold-rolled steel. It passes a 100-hour salt-spray test.
Can I customise the interior layout — locker, drawer, mirror?
Yes. Pick from four standard interiors: shelves-only, shelves plus locker, shelves plus locker plus drawer, or shelves plus locker plus drawer plus mirror panel. Custom configurations are built in 4 to 5 days from order confirmation.
Looking after your Zumax double door almirah
Wipe the body down with a soft, damp microfibre cloth. Skip abrasive scouring pads and bleach-based sprays — they will dull the powder coat over time.
Lubricate the hinge knuckles and the lever lock cylinder once a year with a light machine oil. A single drop per hinge is enough.
Keep the unit at least 25 mm clear of the wall in monsoon-prone rooms so the back panel can breathe.
Do not overload a single shelf above 15 kg. Spread heavy boxes across two shelves to keep the frame square.
If the mirror panel is fitted, clean with a glass cleaner sprayed on the cloth, not on the panel, so liquid does not creep behind the steel backing plate.
